Old people drive too slow

Why do old people drive so damn slow? If I only had a few years left to live I'd be flooring it.. I'd want to get to wherever I was going as fast as possible. Besides, do you really think a cop's going to ticket a rickety old great-grandmother/father? They've got these huge old buicks and cadillacs with big V8s in them, so use the damn thing!
Another thing that pisses me off, while on the subject of motor vehicles -- hippies who rip on SUV drivers. Somehow they think that it's immoral to drive a vehicle that isn't fuel efficient, as if this was the real source of environmental decay. I can understand if you have a problem with them building a new coal factory, but just because your little hippy fart-wagon gets 6 more miles to the gallon than a Ford Explorer, you think you have the right to tell me what I'm allowed to drive. I have a right to pay even more than I have to for gas that is already outrageously priced.
Now, here's hoping that some old people or hippies (or both) read this post.

First time for everything

This is my attempt at starting a blog, though I doubt I'll be able to figure out how to make my page look sexy like some of you folks have. I'm just a regular dude finishing college, preparing to put his feet into the real world, so I thought a page like this might be an interesting way to record some of my thoughts and experiences. Got the idea from my brother Ian, who runs the "Healthy Alternative to Work" blog. So we'll see how this goes. Anyway, hello!
