Good day for the Steelers. With their playoff hopes hanging in the balance, they put together a game that looked like the best of last season - the running game reemerged, and the Steelers trampled the #1 defense in the NFL, the Chicago Bears, who were riding an 8-game winning streak. While Willie Parker managed to get some decent yards, it was Jerome Bettis who carried the offense in the win. Over 100 yards and 2 touchdowns - looking like the Bus that Steelers fans have always loved.

Thank God. I would have wanted to shoot myself had they lost this game. That many losses would have been too much to bear.
And Jerome Bettis is my fantasy running back. 22 points, baby. What a guy. He's really the quintessential football player -- longevity, size, talent, an awesome work ethic, and what a great guy.

Pittsburgh is going to cry when he retires. There is no man in the NFL, and few in the world, with the drive and love that Bettis has. He took an enormous paycut to play this year- he spends every day in pain from the beating he takes during the game - but he plays because he loves his team, he loves his city. And the city loves him back. Nothing could make my happier than seeing the "Bus" crush the #1 defense in the NFL.
